Christy Kelso was born in Louisville Ky on February 20, 1995 to Angelica Brown and the late Christopher Lewis Kelso. She was a very smart young lady who was a graduate of Western High School. She was loved by everyone and aspired to be a Veterinarian because of her love for animals. Christy was the mother of a beautiful four-year-old daughter Peighton Sanders.
Christy was preceded in death by her father Christopher Kelso, grandmother Peggy Ann Kelso and her Aunt Katina Bowers. She leaves behind to cherish her daughter Peighton Sanders; mother, Angelica Brown; grandmother, Bonita Brown; two sisters, Jelisha Brown and Katina Graves; five brothers, Christopher Kelso, Christian Kelso, Lewis Kelso, Corday Ellison, and Daykeese Ellison; uncles, Tracy Henderson, Quonta (Michelle) Vance, David (Tredene) Kelso, Richard Bown, Peter Brown, Davee Brown, Rodney Brown; aunt, Regina (Kevin) Toogood; nieces, Chyna and Skii Kelso; and a host of loving relatives and friends who loved her dearly.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday, February 9, 2019 at New Zion Baptist Church, 1501 Louis Coleman Jr. Drive with interment in Green Meadows Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the church. Professional services by Rodgers-Awkard & Lyons, 951 S. Preston Street.
