Clinton James Henderson, “CJ”, 44, passed away on June 4, 2026. Services will be Thursday, June 18, 2026 beginning with visitation at 11 am and funeral service to follow at 1 pm at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 2973 Wilson Avenue.

CJ was cherished by family, friends, and all who knew him, and leaves behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, and dedication. Born on July 15, 1981 in Louisville, KY, to Gary C. Hamilton and Denise Henderson. CJ grew up surrounded by love and encouragement of his three brothers and four sisters. He became a devoted father, loving son, and an amazing uncle to host of nieces and nephews. CJ was the type of person who knew no stranger, therefore he made countless friends.

CJ was a devoted father who always put his children first. He truly loved and cherished his daughters. His love and joyous energy enriched the lives of those closest to him. CJ was a hard worker who truly enjoyed an ice cold beer, especially when shared with siblings and friends. CJ’s legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were privileged to know him. His compassion, laughter, and comedic energy will be remembered always.

CJ is survived by his mother Denise Henderson, his Significant Other of 17 years, Whitley Hawkins, his two daughters, Serrainna James Henderson and Serenity NAshae Henderson, two sisters, Kimberly R Henderson and Chaka Woodard, two brothers, Anton D Henderson and Gary C Henderson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will continue to honor their love and memories. He is also preceded in death by his father Gary C. Hamilton, two sisters, Kesha D Henderson and Sharleeka L Henderson, and one brother, Shundale H Cooper.
