Obituaries

Connie Elaine Hudson, 75, passed away on April 16, 2026. Services will be Saturday, April 25, 2026 beginning with visitation at 10 am and funeral service to follow at 12 noon at new Zion Baptist Church, 1501 Louis Coleman Jr. Drive. Interment will be in Green Meadows Cemetery.

Connie was born on January 14,1951 in Louisville, Ky to the Union of Mildred Hudson and Hunter Hudson Jr. She received Christ at an early age at West Chestnut Street Baptist Church and along the way she joined Gospel Missionary Baptist Church in March of 1998.

Connie graduated from Louisville Male High School in 1969. Connie worked at several places in Louisville, Kentucky, one was her starts was at Brown & Williams manufacturing company, but she retired from the Board of Education after teaching for over 20 years.

Connie leaves to cherish her memories one daughter Monique Anthony (Mark); her late son Toriano (Tito) Hudson; her two sisters, Diane and Shermaine Hudson; three late brothers, Ronald, Donnie, and James Hudson; four grandchildren, Mark III, Mon’a Anthony, Timothy Hudson, and her late grandson, Torion Hudson; five great-grandchildren, Serenity, and Xavier Anthony, Mia, Kaiya, and Oakley Hudson; and a host of nieces, nephews,  and friends.

Connie was fun loving and enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren. She also loved going to church and singing in the choir with her church members. Her favorite and most fun activity was going to Bingo with family and friends.
