Danny Lee Thomas, 57, passed away on April 12, 2023. Services will be Tuesday, April 18, 2023 beginning with visitation at 11 a.m. and funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. at New Zion Baptist Church, 1501 Louis Coleman Jr. Drive. Interment will be in Green Meadows Cemetery.
Danny is preceded in death by his mother Ida Pearl Cornelious, his father Harvey Lee Gordon, his great aunt Mary Lucy and great uncle Charlie Hughes. His sister Lucretia Thomas and brother Charles Thomas.
Danny leaves to mourn his loss Sonobia Thomas (wife) and children Shaqueisha Davis (Texas), Jerone Martin (GA), Emani Sanderson, Amari Thomas, and Danny L. Thomas Jr all of Louisville, Ky. Five Brothers- Elmer (Sheryl) of Atlanta, GA, David (Donna) of Chicago, IL, James (Rae) of Atlanta, GA, Frederick Thomas and Christopher Gordon of Louisville, Ky. Five Sisters- Elaine (Stanley) of VA, Theresa Thomas, Shawanda Granison, Shanea and Nikki Woods all of Louisville, Ky. Eight Grandchildren, One great grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews who all loved him dearly.
