Darel Campbell, 61, passed away on April 30, 2026. Services will be Tuesday, May 12, 2026 beginning with visitation at 4 pm and funeral service to follow at 5 pm at Rodgers-Awkard & Lyons Funeral Home, 951 S. Preston Street.

Darel was born on May 10, 1964, to the late Jean and Norman Campbell, peacefully departed this life surrounded by the love and memories of his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jean and Norman Campbell, and his siblings, Perry Jackson and Raidan Singh.

Darel was a man known for his warm smile, joyful spirit, and unforgettable sense of humor. He loved making people laugh and could brighten any room with his jokes and positive energy. He truly enjoyed life and especially loved riding his bike and spending time with those he loved most. Throughout his life, Darel showed remarkable strength and resilience. No matter the challenges he faced, he persevered with courage and determination. His love for his family was unwavering, and he treasured every moment shared with them.

He leaves behind his beloved children, Sharita and Marquiesha Stephenson; 13 cherished grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren, along with many other relatives and friends who will deeply miss him and forever carry his memory in their hearts. Darel’s legacy of laughter, strength, and love will continue to live on through all who knew and loved him
