She is survived by her children, Crystal, Alton, and Melvin Carter, and Cherie Edwards; siblings, Constance Young (Cranston), Nicole Flowers (Aaron), James Edwards (Patsy), Arthur Edwards (Arnita), Steven Edwards (Mia), Mona Edwards, Susan Edwards, and Roderick Crowder. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Stephen Baptist Church, 1018 S. 15th Street. Following the service a memorial celebration will be held at Vincenzo’s Restaurant, 150 S. 5th Street, at 3:30 p.m. Professional services by Rodgers-Awkard & Lyons Funeral Home, 951 S.
