Deonta Marchand Butler “D’Tay”, 43, passed away on April 7, 2023. Services will be Saturday, April 15, 2023 beginning with visitation at 11 a.m. and funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. at Greater Israel Baptist Church, 1509 Magazine St.
D’Tay is preceded in death by his sister Laynette Butler, grandparents Bishop Clifford Butler Sr., Betty L. Butler, and great grandmother Jenetta Gordon. He leaves beautiful, cherished memories to his son Deonte Butler Jr., grandson Deonte Butler III, parents Susan Butler and Lamont Butler (“Mama” Kim), three brothers Lamont Butler “Weegie” (Dea), Demond Butler, and John Watson Jr., four sisters Latonya Butler Locke (Tim), Monica Butler, DeAna Watson, and Nantelle Watson, grandmother Jenetta Bardston, nieces, nephews, aunties, uncles, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
