Earl Charles Chandler, 85, passed away on January 24, 2026. Services will be Friday, February 6, 2026 beginning with visitation at 11 am and funeral 12 noon at Rodgers-Awkard & Lyon Funeral Home, 951 S. Preston Street. Interment will be in Green Meadows Cemetery.
Earl Charles Chambers was born to John Eddie Chambers and Mildred Cannon on April 10, 1940, in Louisville, Mississippi. He received his GED from JCPS and retired from LGE after many years of service. Also, he enjoyed watching sports and was a U of L basketball and football fan.
Earl was preceded in death by his wife Irene, parents, sister Verdie Mae Chambers, son Kenneth Chambers, stepchildren Scott Bryant (Sheila), Wanda Bryant, and Janice Bryant Hicks. Earl leaves to cherish his memory, his son Errol Chambers (Kathy), stepson James Bryant, multiple step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren, niece Kella Chambers, and a host of other relatives and friends.
