Eddie Lee “Ruth” Malone, 66, passed away on December 13, 2020. Services will be Tuesday, December 22, 2020 with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. and funeral service to follow at 12 noon at Rodgers-Awkard & Lyons, 951 S. Preston Street.

Eddie Lee ” Ruth ” Malone was born on July 17, 1954 to Maggie Lee Malone and James Murray who preceded her in death. Ruth was called home December 13th, 2020. Two brothers, James and Kenneth and five grandchildren also preceded her in death. She was baptized at an early age at St. Joseph Church, However she did not have a home church but she definitely believed in the lord.

Ruth was funny, outgoing, she loved playing the lottery, doing her crosswords puzzles, and taking care of her grandkids. Oh, she definitely didn’t mind cussing people out (lol), she will be truly missed.

Ruth leaves behind four siblings Nellie B, George, Lenora (Smiley) and Myrtle (Sugarmeat). She will continue to live thru through her seven children, Shanil Malone, Pascha Malone, Antrell Malone, Kenneth Malone, Harry Malone, Frank Malone-Hancock, and Francine Malone-Hancock. Ruth leaves behind five special grandchildren Shanil Malone, Ashanti Edwards, Amani’ Butler (juice) and Keedran Gardner (doodie) and Kamiya Moore. Ruth loved Kenneth Malone Jr. and LeeQuan Malone a host of more grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends and family.
