He is survived by his companion Beverly Porter; children Bradley Cairo and Cordia Richard-Brooks; brother, James Cairo, Sr.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Visitation will begin 11 a.m. Thursday, October 12, 2017 with funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. at Star Hope Baptist Church, 5009 E. Indian Trail. Interment: Kentucky Veterans Cemetery.
