Mrs. Ernestine E. Thompson, 75, passed away on January 16, 2024. Services will be held at New Zion Baptist Church, 1501 Louis Coleman Jr. Drive. beginning with visitation from 5-8 pm on Tuesday. Funeral service will be 12 noon Tuesday, January 24, 2023. Interment will be in Green Meadows Cemetery.
Ernestine was preceded in death by her Dad, Mr. Ernest K. Davis and her Mom Mrs. Luvenia Brooks. Her four Brothers: Her Twin Ernest Kelton Simms, Bernard Simms, Willie Simms and Joel Thomas, Her five Sisters: Willma Sanders, Juanita Bell, Anna Bell, Earline Hutchinson, and Sheryl Watkins. She has two Grandchildren that proceeded her in Death – Te’Aynna Townsend & Christopher Rashad Wells.
Ernestine is survived by her seven Children: Elonda (Joseph-Buster) Wells, Lisa Miller, Shenita (Kevin) Rickman of Louisville, KY. Kathy (Ollie) Goad of Murfreesboro Tenn. Carla Wells- Cunning of Atlanta Georgia. Tedra Thompson from Denver Col. & Theordore Thompson from Col. Springs Col. She is also survived by three sisters Stallydia Mucker, Nancy Robinson of Louisville, KY and Bonnie Davis of Tulsa, OK. 1 Brother Joseph Thomas Jr. of Pensacola Fl. She had Lifelong Sisters-Friends: Anna Jean Board, Sheilla Gowdie, Regina Curry & Francine Jackson.
Mrs. Ernestine E. Thompson has 19 Grand Children, 44 Great Grand Children, two Great Great Grand Children.
