Floyd Robert Flanigan, 58, passed away on July 26, 2025. Services will be Saturday, August 2, 2025 beginning with visitation at 10 am and funeral service to follow at 11 am at New Zion Baptist Church, 1501 Louis Coleman Jr. Drive. Interment will be in Green Meadows Cemetery.

Floyd Robert Flanigan Jr was born on March 30, 1967 to the late Floyd Robert Flanigan, Sr. and Carolyn Flanigan (Alexander). He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Greater First Timothy Baptist Church. He did not attend regularly but he believed in and loved the Lord.

Floyd received his education in the Jefferson County Public School System and attended Western High School. He worked at the Galt House Hotel and various factories around Louisville until he became ill and could no longer work. Floyd was a talented artist who liked to draw karate characters and watch movies. Floyd was a quiet and compassionate person. He didn’t say much unless he was with his beloved brother Eric.

Floyd is preceded in death by his father Floyd Robert Flanigan, Sr. and brother James Eric Flanigan. He leaves to cherish fond memories, his mother, Carolyn Alexander; and sister Melissa Flanigan, as well as a host of relatives and friends.
