Cecil, Harold Lee Jr., 67, passed away February 19, 2015.
Deacon Cecil was a member of New Bethany Baptist Church, St. Thomas Masonic Lodge, and former member of Elim Baptist Church. From 1967 to 1982, he was employed at the American Air Filter Co and retired from Louisville Water Co. in 2007.
He leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Ruth Morehead Cecil of Zion, IL.; wife, Rev. Audrey Cecil; sons, Harold L.,III (LaTosha) and Robert D. Cecil (Hannah); daughters, Tabette E. and Kimberly Cecil; brothers, Darryl R. (Valerie) and Terrence B. Cecil of Zion, IL., Dwayne T. Cecil (Cheryl) of Matteson, IL., Shawn O. Cecil(Tamara) of Jeffersonville, IN.; five grandchildren; two great grandsons.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Thursday at New Zion Baptist Church, 1501 Louis Coleman Drive, with the funeral service at New Zion on Friday at Noon, Pastor Hezzy Jewell of New Bethany will officiate. Entombment in Evergreen Cemetery. Professional services by Rodgers-Awkard & Lyons Funeral Home.
