Laird, Henry C. Jr., 53, passed away on September 24, 2014. He was a member of New Zion Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary V. Laird. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Pearl Laird; 3 children, Margarita Maddox (James), Brandon Wright (Te’onna), Artisha Young (Erica); his father, Henry C. Laird, Sr. (Mae); siblings, Gary Bradley, Sr. (Glenda), Renita Price (Darryl), and Tamatha Laird; five grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 27, 2014 followed by the funeral at his church, 1501 Louis Coleman Jr. Drive. Entombment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements by Rodgers-Awkard & Lyons.
