Jameel Shavon Williams, 36, passed away on December 11, 2025. Services will be Tuesday, December 23, 2025 beginning at 10 am and funeral service to follow at 12 noon at Rodgers-Awkard & Lyons Funeral Home, 951 S. Preston Street.

Jameel was born on December 1, 1989 in Louisville, Kentucky to Sherrell Anderson and Peter Williams. He attended Gutermuth Elementary, Noe Middle and Iroquois High School. Jameel was a relocation specialist. He assisted others with a smooth transition to go from one home to another or one state to another. He loved using his hands, putting in a hard days work.

Growing up Jameel’s infectious smile and determination carried into sports and his love of cooking. In his free time Jameel loved music, gambling, playing dominos with the “Ogs” and spending time with his children, nieces and nephews. He would often be found doing trivia questions with the children. Jameel has two children Jameel Williams Jr, Jalen Williams and Baby Jae whom he precedes in death (December 14, 2025).  Jameel will be remembered by his resilience, street smarts, unwavering loyalty. He will be missed by many family, friends, and folk.

Jameel is preceded in death by his child Baby Jae, Grandmother Betty Breckenridge, Grandfather Roy McKissic and Great Aunt Leona Langston and Uncle James Breckenridge. Jameel leaves to cherish his loving memory; Significant other Jemeka Young; Children Jameel Williams Jr and Jalen Williams; Mother Sherrell Anderson, Father Peter Williams (Stephanie); Aunt Andrea Breckenridge, Uncle Carl Breckenridge; Uncle Saquon McKissic; Siblings Tobbie Clay III (Kiara), Shanae Breckenridge, Iman Young, Raven Williams, Peter Williams Jr, Alberta Taylor and a very special niece Da’Miah Richardson who he held dear near and dear. Jameel also had a host of nieces, nephews and cousins whom he absolutely loved with his entire heart.

Jameel aka Boo will be greatly missed.
