Joyce Anne Alvis, 62, passed away February 27, 2020. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2020, at New Zion Baptist Church, 1501 Louis Coleman Jr. Drive, with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Green Meadows Cemetery. She was self-employed in home health care. Survivors include her children, Francine Parker (Fredrick Green), Rickie Irvin, Jr., Bobby Alvis and Iesha Alvis (Charles Hobbs); brothers, Edmond, Norman (Anges), and Larry Ray Alvis; sisters, Leatrice, Charlene and Stephanie Alvis; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
