Obituaries

Juanita Taylor Fowler, 82, of Louisville, Kentucky, peacefully entered eternal rest on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. Services will be Saturday, July 11, 2026 beginning with visitation at 10 am and funeral service to follow at 12 noon at New Zion Baptist Church, 1501 Louis Coleman Jr. Drive. Interment will be in Green Meadows Cemetery.

Juanita accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age, and her faith remained a guiding light throughout her life. She was known for her loving heart, warm smile, and strong spirit. She treasured her family above all else and will always be remembered for recognizing a loved one’s voice instantly, long before caller ID existed. She spoke her mind with honesty, loved deeply, and leaves behind countless cherished memories. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Wesley Fowler JW); her granddaughters, Tiffany Brown and Marketta Brown; her brothers, Warren Jackson, Louis Jackson, William Jackson, Edward Jackson, and Donald Jackson; and her sister, Joann Trowel.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Theresa Jackson Fowler, Loretta Sledge, and Diane Walls (Claude); her sons, Mark Jackson Fowler (Jody), Anthony Fowler, and Daryl Fowler; 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Pauline Rudisel (Leonard); along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Juanita’s love, faith, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
