Obituaries

Kathleen Long Roberts, 59, passed away on August 20, 2020. Services will be Saturday, August 29, 2020 with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. and funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. at Rodgers-Awkard & Lyons, 951 S. Preston Street. Kathleen was preceded in death by her daughter, Orshekia Long, and grandson, Tyrese Garvin. Kathleen leaves to forever cherish her memory her spouse of 22 years, Norman Roberts; her sons, Octavis Long, Henry Long, John Long, and Terrell Roberts; her grandchildren, Dasia Wheat, Octavia Long, Jayden Long, Olivia Long, Raquel Long, and Zion Long; two great-grandchildren, Ty Achelle Garvin and Ty Shawn Garvin; and a host of other cousins including special cousin Artemus Hines, other relatives, and friends. Kathleen’s strength will continue to keep us.
