Kirk Lavelle Miller, 55, passed away on October 25, 2025. Services will be Saturday, November 1, 2025 beginning with visitation at 11 am and funeral service to follow at 1 pm at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, 2707 Fleming Avenue.

Kirk Lavelle Miller, Sr., was born March 2, 1970, in Louisville, KY, to Willie & Molly Miller, as 1 of 7 children born unto this union.

Kirk, expressed his love for the gospel, giving his life to Christ at an early age. He began his Christian journey joining the fellowship of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church. Fondly called “Kirky” or “Ruckus” or an “Exclusive Member of The Chicken Crew”, by his family and friends. Kirk was educated in the JCPS School System attending Male High School. After graduating he continued his education at Eastern Kentucky University. He was ever ready to assist anyone in need, willing to help in any way he could find a way. Just a Jack of Many Trades, as he’d say. He was an avid caterer, fishermen, karaoke singer, conversationalist, comedian, Summer Camp Counselor/Cook, Father Figure, Friend, Ride or Die, Excellent Father, Excellent Grandfather, & Excellent Husband.

On October 25, 2025, Kirk L. Miller Sr., answered the call to go to his heavenly home. He leaves to cherish his wife LaTonya; children, Tyonia , Taja, Kirk Jr., Kiara (DeAndre), Kendric; grandson, Jeremiah his “ Main Man”; six siblings; two brothers, Marshall, and Kenneth (Donna); four sisters, Sally, Robin (Keith), Donna, Ursula; his mother in law, Karrolle; a Father in Law, Willam (Bill) who preceded him in death; a sister in law Giavondia (known as Mo); three brothers in law, Bryant (Louvia), Andreous (Christe), and Thomas. Kirk will also be leaving a host of family and friends to miss his enthusiasm, zest for life perspective & larger than life persona.
