Lamont Barnett Anderson, 54, passed away on March 17, 2026. Services will be Thursday, April 2, 2026 beginning with visitation at 12 noon and funeral service to follow at 1 pm at Rodgers-Awkard & Lyons Funeral Home, 951 S. Preston Street.

Lamont was born on March 25, 1971, in Louisville Kentucky, to William Barnett Anderson and the late Mary Elizabeth Murray-Anderson. At An early Age, Lamont accepted Christ as his personal Savior. He received his education from the Jefferson County Public School system (JCPS) and graduated in 1989 from Jeffersontown High School. Lamont was a very soft-spoken giant who provider for his family to the best of his ability in today society. Lamont showed love for all of his children and everyone that he met throughout his life.

Lamont carried the life badge of being a Son, Brother, Nephew, Father and Grandfather, and to the many friends and business associates outside of the family circle. God’s Divine will was manifested when he called Lamont early March 17, 2026, to His final resting home. Lamont was 54 years old. His spirit will last forever in our hearts and minds.

Lamont, was preceded in death by his mother Mary Elizebeth Anderson; and half-sister, Evette Denise Campbell, His leaves to love and cherish his precious memories his wife Lynn S. Anderson; children, Monique L., Dezmeontai L., Taquan D., Jaquan, Lamonttra Tinsley, Lynae Anderson; adopted children, Lyndashia, Jaslyn, Bobby, and Quincy; father, William B. Anderson; sisters, Tiffany D. Anderson, Adrain Kerksey, Amber Kerksey-Johnson;  and a host of aunts, uncles, and many cousins, and associates.
