Larry Smith, 81, passed away on September 29, 2026. Services will be Saturday, October 17, 2026 beginning with visitation at 9:30 am and funeral service to follow at 11:30 am at Greater Israel Baptist Church, 1509 Magazine Street. Interment will be in West Haven Cemetery.
Larry Smith was born in Buena Vista Georgia to Lonsie Jones and Mary Smith. Larry completed high school in Buena Vista Georgia. He came to live in Louisville, Ky with JB and Louise Maddox, his great-great grandmother came to Louisville, Ky as well. He worked at Booker Price Furniture Company located on Goss Ave, for 35 years where he retired.
Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Mary L Smith, companion Wanda Pash. He leaves to cherish his memories two sisters, Barbara Bosan and Jacqueline Story. His Brothers Jimmie Lee Story, 69 nieces and nephews, (including great nieces and nephews). He will be missed by countless friends, numerous family members. Including aunts, uncles and cousins and anyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
