Garner, Lawanda Denise, “Nitty”, 52, passed away on July 8, 2018. She is survived by her children Stephanie Edelen, Vernisa Garner, April Garner, Destinie Garner, Devon Garner, Tori Strickland, and Stephon Garner; seven sisters, five brothers; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 14, 2018 with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. and funeral service to follow at 12 noon at Bethel Baptist Church, 3540 Garland Avenue. Interment will be in Green Meadows Cemetery. Professional services by Rodgers-Awkard & Lyons Funeral Home, 951 S. Preston Street.
