He is survived by his children, Fred Stoner, Latasha Gomis (Francois), Melody White, and Ta’Mya White; siblings, Hattie Helm, Thomas White, Catherine Sweeney, Joseph White (Earnestine), and Joanetta White; fiancé, Vanessa Griffith; and 8 grandchildren. Visitation will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2014 with funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. at Spillman Memorial Church, 2118 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd. Interment: Green Meadows Cemetery. Arrangements by Rodgers-Awkard & Lyons, 951 S. Preston Street.
