Melvin Marvin Cox, 96, passed away on June 30, 2022. Services will be Wednesday, July 13th with visitation beginning at 10.m. and funeral service to follow at 12 noon at Wests Chestnut Street Baptist Church, 1725 W. Chestnut Street. Entombment will be in Resthaven Cemetery.
Melvin was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Susanna D. Cox, daughter, Brenda Beverly, grandsons Leon Clay, Jr. and McKell Clay. He is survived by his daughters (Daddy’s Girls) Linda Rowan, Valerie Cox, Muriel Walker (Kenneth), 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 15 great–great-grandchildren, and a host of friends and loved ones.
