Michael Carl Dillard, 67, passed away on August 11, 2026. Services will be Tuesday, August 25, 2026 beginning with visitation at 12 noon and funeral service at 1 pm at Rodgers-Awkard & Lyons, 951 S. Preston Street.

Michael born October 18, 1958.  He passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. Born to Verna Jean Ellis-Dillard-Haskins and Judson Carl Dillard. Michael was raised and educated in Atlanta, New York City, Philadelphia and Louisville, Kentucky. A certified and multi-skilled tradesman, he worked in HVAC, carpentry and full renovation. Known for handling everything from day-to-day maintenance to major overhauls. His diverse upbringing shaped his bold spirit. Michael’s infectious smile welcomed all.  He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, Brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend.

He is survived by his wife, Denise Dillard, His sons, Michael Morris and Quadrine Morris, his daughter, Naomi Dillard (California), his sister Cecile Ashanti (DX), his brothers Ricky and Terrell Dillard, a host of nieces, nephews, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. As well as a wide circle of family and friends. Michael will be both missed and remembered.
