Patricia Ann (Woods) Richardson, 71, passed away on August 27, 2023. Visitation will be 11 a.m. Friday, September 1, at Greater Friendship Baptist Church, 2325 Osage Ave. with the funeral to follow at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Patricia Ann Woods-Richardson was born October 26,1951 in Louisville, Ky to the late Charles F. Woods Sr., and Margaret F. Woods. Patricia accepted Christ at an early age and remained dedicated throughout her life. Patricia is a member of Greater Friendship Baptist Church where she has previously served on several committees. Patricia received her formal education in Louisville, Ky., graduating from Central High School. She also completed several semesters at Jefferson Community College. Patricia is a retiree of Jewish Hospital. Patricia is affectionately called ‘The Diva’ in her family due to her impeccable fashion sense and classy decorum. She took great pride in herself and family. When not attending to her family, Patricia loved to shop, listen to music, dance and work around her beautiful home, especially out in her yard. She loved her flowers and her dog Missy.

Forty-nine years ago, Patricia and William Richardson Sr., professed their love for one another. From this union came four children. On August 27, 2023, at 4:55 am, Patricia was called home. Patricia leaves to cherish her memory, her husband,William Richardson Sr., Children; LuShawnda Smith, Ernesia Richardson, Shawnnesa Richardson and William Richardson Jr., Grandchildren; LaRece Smith, Bre’Ana Smith, Ke’Ana Richardson, Diamond Jackson, Anthony Jackson, Jashon Kennedy, Journey Kennedy, Jamiahia Kennedy, Jakori Richardson, Jamauri Richardson, Jaylen Richardson, Jayceon Richardson and Jamir Richardson. Great grandchildren; Mei’Khi Toogood, Keeng Russell, Kayleigh Smith, A’Nyli McFarland and Divine Davis. Patricia was proceeded in death by her parents and grandson, Jeremy Kennedy. Patricia also leaves her siblings; Charles Woods Jr., Barbara Glenn (Craig), Carolyn Woods, Linda Young, Ronnie Woods and Brenda Woods as well as a host of
nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
