Rev. Dr. Thurmond Coleman, Sr., 92, passed away September 8, 2019. He was the Pastor Emeritus of First Baptist Church of Jeffersontown, having actively served the church for 45 years. Dr. Coleman will lie in state at the church, 10600 Watterson Trail on Monday, September 16, from 6-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 9-11 a.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Cave Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts in support of Simmons College of Kentucky, 1000 S. 4th Street, Louisville KY, 40203.
