He is survived by his wife Myra Hicks; children Tamu Henderson, Keisha Gray, and Roger Hicks, III; mother, Ruth Hicks; siblings, Jean Smith, Judith Smith, Juanita Adams, and Preston Hicks; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2018 with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. and funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. at New Zion Baptist Church, 1501 Louis Coleman, Jr. Dr. Interment: Kentucky Veterans Cemetery.
