Shadie Doyle Petty, 88, passed away on August 30, 2025. Services will be Monday, September 8, 2025 beginning with visitation at 10 am and funeral service to follow at 12 noon at First Baptist Church of Jeffersontown, 10600 Waterson Trail. Interment will be in Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
Shadie leaves to cherish her memory her children, Jacqueline (Alvin) Davis, Beverly (Albert-deceased) Berry, Lorenzo (Ruth) Petty, Jr., and Kenneth (Chanta) Petty; her sister, Leona Petty, 11 grandchildren, including her granddaughter Dee Dee Davis who lived with her and steadfastly served as her caregiver; 14 great-grandchildren; a special niece, Terry (Charles) Williams; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
