Terry Lee Yancey, 43, passed away on October 13, 2026. Services will be Wednesday, October 21, 2026 beginning with visitation at 12 noon and funeral service to follow at 1 pm at Rodgers-Awkard & Lyons Funeral Home, 951 S. Preston Street.

Terry Lee Yancey known affectionally as “Tee-Real” was born December 17^th, 1982, to Edie Cole and Terry Quisenberry in Louisville, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by both parents and brother Terrance Yancey, Montez Wheeler and son Terrell Yancey, Grandmother Patricia Anderson and nephews Rashawn Yancey and Antonio Porter.

He attended Jefferson County School systems and accepted Christ at an early age. Terry was very special to many, even as a child he knew nothing but love and how to love. He would make you laugh until you cried, he loved dancing, singing and telling jokes. As he grew up and had his own children that’s all he wanted to give them was all the love he had in his heart. He was a great father and loved family. He was very smart, intelligent, loved drawing cars and was very talented. Terry loved and lived his life!

Terry is survived by his loving children, Le’Arndre James, Keyala Yancey, Terrion Yancey, Tanee Yancey, Terry Yancey and Terrance D Yancey. Brothers Antonio Yancey, Ricardo Centeno, Joseph Bethel. Sisters Jerrice Yancey, Sha’Meika Wheeler, Rhonda Wheeler, Latrice Wheeler, Stepmother Angela Wheeler, Auntie Tawana Burwell, Erica Jones. Uncles Michael West, Ronnis Quisenberry, Michael Quisenberry, 14 Nieces and Nephews and many more.
