Valerie S. Nelson Brent, 54, passed away on June 22, 2019. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jeffersontown. Funeral services will be Friday, June 28, 2019 with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. and fuenral service to follow at 11 a.m. at her church, 10600 Watterson Trail. Interment will be in Green Meadows Cemetery.
Valerie is survived by her daughter Shamea Fitch; parents, Carolyn Burnett (Richard) and Joe Nelson, Sr.; siblings, Latonya Blount (IGreg), Lavern Williams (Barry), Christy Dye (Emiko Terry), Yolanda Burnett, Rishena Lawrence (Tim), Candice Burnett, Joe Nelson, Jr., Mitchell Nelson (Lanona), Denny Glasper (Sandra), Rodney Nelson (Jill), and Cameron Nelson; three grandchidlren; special cousins, Felicia Hughlett, and Yolanda Winfrey; and special friends, Kelly Williams, and Barbara Viverette
