Obituaries

Vivian Irene Guin, 69, passed away on August 22, 2025. Services will be Saturday, August 30, 2025 beginning with visitation at 11 am and funeral service to follow at 1 pm at Midwest Church of Christ, 2115 Garland Avenue. Interment will be in Green Meadows Cemetery.

Vivian was baptized at Midwest Church of Christ. She attended Gibson Chappel Elementary School, Warren Middle School, and graduated from The Louisville Male High School and Watterson College (Business Programming) Louisville College of Nursing. She worked at First National Bank, St. Anthony Hospital, Holiday Inn and Park DuValle Medical Center and her last place of employment was Parkway Medical Center.

Vivian was preceded in death by her father Floydus Guin; mother, Thelma Guin; brothers, William Guin, Floydus Guin Jr., and Jerry Guin; and husband, Curtis Riggs Sr. She leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Dorothy Knight; her daughter, Trinita (Rodney) Thomas; sons, Curtis (Deborah) Guin, LeTony (Kataris) Potter; grandchildren, Tyvone Guin, Thelisia Guin, Curtis J. Guin, Dequintay Lacy, Bryson Elliott, LeTony Potter Jr, Theresa Thomas, Kinsley Cosby; eight great-grandchildren; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends she loved dearly.
