Wayne Franklin Barbour, 77, passed away on May 29, 2023. Services will be Tuesday, June 6, 2023 with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. and funeral service to follow at 12 noon at New Zion Baptist Church, 1501 Louis Coleman Dr. A Viewing and Interment will take place in Buffalo Cemetery, Buffalo, KY.

He was co-founder of Barbour Brother’s Cleaners with his brother James. He continued to operate the business for 54 years where the customers became an extension of the family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Dixon Barbour, his son, Darrell Franklin Barbour, and his siblings Willie, James, Chester, and Lonnie Barbour. Wayne leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Neysa Barbour Jones (Shedrick) and Nicole Barbour; his son, Darrin Wayne Barbour; his siblings, Shirley Thompson (Robert), Douglas Barbour (Maggie), Joe Barbour (Mary Jo), Eunice Stoner, Remona Barbour and Tony Barbour (Debbie); his grandsons, Matthew Bryce Jones and Myles Bradley Jones; his Dixon family; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.
