Obituaries

Porter, Wilma M., 78, of Jeffersonville, IN passed away on July 13, 2015. She was born in Nashville, TN to the late Arnett and Lena Bell on June 8, 1937. She was a faithful member of Newburg Apostolic Church. She is survived by her six children, Damita Covington (Ronnie), Jacqueline Leavell (Clifford), Grace Ellis, Stanley Porter (Patricia), Arnett Porter, and Corden Porter (Stacey); siblings, Nancy Holland (Waverly), Celeste Boyd, and Arnett Bell (Martha); 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family would like to thank her special caretaker and cousin Bridget Hill. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 18, 2015 with funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. at Newburg Apostolic Church, 4817 E. Indian Trail, Louisville, KY. Interment will be in Eastern Cemetery, Jeffersonville, IN.
